Praha, Czech Republic

First day coming from Barcelona. It was quite a shock actually for me to see Prague after having been in Barcelona for a few days. It was definitely not a wise choice and on top of it all upon my day of arrival, I got terribly sick. Unfortunately, this changed my whole perception of the city which made me not take many pictures of it.

Something funny though was, I spent hours looking for a pharmacy since I couldn´t communicate with the locals. Had I known just a little bit of German, it might have helped me communicate better with the Czechs.

On my second day I was completely handicapped by my fever. So, the walk from the other side of the river from the hostel we were staying at, until the castle was exhausting. The castle didn´t mean much to me on that day, since all I wanted was to get away from the 38º scorching sun. But I must say that visiting Prague is a must! Just go when the weather is milder!

Third day. I felt much better, the weather was cooler and we saw several different things on this day which I have no record of. We went to Prague´s Modern Art Museum (Veletrzni Palac) and it was one of the best modern art museums I had ever been to. It was definitely a break from all that classical stuff you see in Paris.
Also, Red Bull held a Flugtag event in which competitors attempt to fly homemade human-powered flying machines on our last day there. That was a lot of fun! Other than that at this event we got to see the real Czechs, not only tourists! Btw, they are huge and beautiful, I was really impressed. Much more than in Amsterdam.

Check out this building. I don´t know who designed it but it was probably a Czech. If they can do this with buildings, ...how wild do you think their modern art museum is?
